instaNET Services was founded in 1992 to provide technical services to First Nation administration offices. Since that time the focus of activities has widened to encompass other community-based organizations, not-for-profit agencies, societies and organizations involved in social services, and cultural or spiritual activities. For a complete list, see clients.
The range of services now offered by instaNET include consulting, systems development and operational support. For a complete list, see services.
Many not-for-profit organizations rely on the efforts of volunteers, and instaNET provides support in the development and operation of systems to organize and manage volunteers. Volunteer referral organizations, such as volunteer centres are a specialty. For more, see volunteerism.
instaNET founder Michael Corber has training in Science (Bachelor of
Science, McGill), Business (Master of Business Administration, UBC), and
Accounting and Finance (Chartered Accountant).
Prior to instaNET, Michael had experience in both the
public and private sector. The industries with which he is familiar are
pharmaceutical manufacturing and publishing. He has worked on projects in the
context of Federal and Provincial Governments, academic environments (schools,
colleges and universities), and health (hospitals and clinics).
